A trap had been laid for Jameson by telling him that Collins had a store
of documents in a house in Iona Drive, Glasnevin. When the house was
raided by Crown Forces, he was rumbled.
Also, Tom Cullen from the IRA’s Intelligence Dept got into his room in
the Granville Hotel and discovered incriminating documents.
Abbott and O’Halpin & Ó Corráin say that the two members of the Squad who killed
Jameson were Paddy [O’]Daly and Joe Dowling. But Molyneux and Kelly say that the following
were involved: Paddy [O’]Daly; Joe Leonard; Joe Dolan;
Tom Kilcoyne and Ben Barrett with [O’]Daly and Barrett doing the shooting.
